It contains 500 multi-colored lights that remain on at all times while the tree is plugged in.

If you prefer a tree with flashing lights, you can purchase a special outlet adapter that will make the lights on your tree flash. The Black Hills fir has a realistic look and feel and comes in a shade of medium green.

If you're having this item shipped to your home, be advised that it does weigh over 50 pounds. This is not a light-weight tree. When assembled it is 48" at the base, so you need a decently large area to place it in.
